The intriguing and somewhat unusual combination of instruments featured provides scope for both performers and audiences to explore both famous works and lesser-known gems for flute, clarinet and piano from a wide range of styles and periods.
The Trio is committed to discovering, exploring and arranging new works, and have a constantly expanding repertoire.
Recent highlights from The Sterling Trio’s busy concert schedule have included recitals in Shrewsbury, Chester, Bury, Melling, Rochdale, Oldham, and for St Ann’s Music Society, Chorlton Arts Festival, the Association of European Conservatoires and the Royal Northern College of Music.
As well as formal recitals, the Trio also enjoys education work.
