Sarah in the community

Sarah has extensive experience of Education and Community projects and Music in Healthcare and Justice settings, planning, delivering, managing and evaluating projects independently as well as in collaboration with other artists and organisations including Bridgewater Hall, Opera North, Music in Prisons, Music in Hospitals, Buxton Opera House and Creative Partnerships.

Music and other art forms have the power to engage, stimulate and create a point of connection. Sarah feels passionate about the way in which creative activities can play a vital role for individuals as well as bringing communities together, offering the chance to explore and express feelings, emotions and issues in new, creative and exciting ways.

Sarah has worked as a music workshop leader, composer, performer and teacher on a variety of education projects with people of all backgrounds and ages; in primary, secondary and special needs schools, with young people and adults, with pre-school children, with vulnerable adults and the elderly, with local communities, with challenging and ‘at risk’ young people, in healthcare venues and on cross-generational projects.

Sarah offers bespoke music and cross-art form workshops using a wide range of musical starting points, so please contact me to discuss your ideas and requirements!
